INTRODUCTION
Zambuko Trust’s purpose is to transform the lives of the economically disadvantaged in a sustainable manner. We are a Micro finance institution that provides financial and non-financial services to the poor for developmental purposes. We seek to transform households through the provision of services that leave lasting solutions to the basic needs of families.

WHO WE ARE
Zambuko Trust (Pvt) Ltd (Zambuko Trust) is a Faith-based developmental Microfinance Institution. It is one of Zimbabwe's pioneer Sector Institutions. Zambuko Trust was founded in 1990 by a group of Christian business persons in response to economic challenges facing the poor. We operate from 6 branches in Zimbabwe, and provide products and services to our clientele which include;
1. Financial Literacy training
2. Micro and SME Business Loans to the informal sector
3. Business management training
4. Training and development of voluntary savings groups
5. Renewable Energy Loans
We target the economically active poor and marginalised segment of the population, using the group lending methodologies. We seek to transform households through the provision of services that leave lasting solutions to the basic needs of families.

Currect Projects
Zambuko Trust was awarded a grant of USD 500,000 by Africa Enterprise Challenge Fund (AECF) in October 2019. This was under the AECF's Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA) Programme in Zimbabwe. The implementation of the project will be over 6 years from January 2020 to December 2025. The objective of the project is to promote the acquisition and use of solar energy products by rural and peri-urban communities, making renewable energy accessible to marginalized communities. Zambuko is using this grant to provide cheaper and longer term credit to new and existing clients. Zambuko is also using this facility to promote the standard of living of women and youth in the rural and peri-urban areas.
